4. You can put it higher on wall; lay flat on table; place it high on window (strongly recommended), and it will provide you with opportunities to watch crystal clear digital & HD shows! If you don't want to mount the antenna on the wall/window, 1byone TV antenna stand allows you to move it freely.

5. If your location's HDTV digital terrestrial signal is weak or your place is far away from broadcast tower, you need to buy our 1byone High Gain TV Antenna Amplifier.

Remarks:

1. If you use a flat HDTV, pls go through your TV manual to make sure your TV is with built-in tuner for freeview.

2. You should retune your Freeview TVs and digital boxes from time to time to ensure you are receiving all available services. Retuning takes only a few minutes and can be done with your remote control.

3. Make sure your tuner is HD tuner, otherwise you can't watch HD channels.

4. The signal quality determines how many channels you can get as well as the picture quality. After you get this antenna, hook it up to your tv, and try to find the best point to place the antenna, you can get more HD channels than you thought.

5. We make a commitment that all our tv antennas have 12 months warranty. If you don't satisfied with the channels you get, please DO contact us. We will take care of your issue immediately and help you solve any problems you come across while using our antenna.

  • If customer cannot get a signal with the antenna or the antenna not working as expected. Actually, there are many reasons acting on the channel reception. So we have included all the suggestions for these situations.a, Check to make sure you have correctly connected the antenna to your HDTV or third-party HD receiver.b, Re-Scan for Channels. In the TV's setup menu, set the mode to Antenna or Air. Refer to the TV manual for detailed instructions.c, Reposition the antenna in a different location. Maybe higher on a wall or closer to a window. Facing the direction of the broadcast tower is usually the best. Signal strength will vary based on certain conditions. Distance from the tower, hills, buildings and even tall trees can impact reception. Always re-scan for channels after moving the antenna.d, This is an amplified antenna. If a signal cannot be received with the external amplifier, remove the amplifier and try again. In some instances, the amplifier may cause self-oscillation, which may interfere with the signal.e, Channel reception depends on what's being broadcast in your area, how far away you are from broadcast towers and your surroundings. Try the antenna in different locations, sometimes moving a few feet can make a difference

5Great Reception
By O.H.
After getting fed up paying exorbitant amounts for cable TV, that no one really watches I pushed to make the switch to cutting the cord. (A note for those looking to cut cable, the cost savings really comes from not having to rent all the 'boxes' for $10-12 a month.) I previously tried out a similar Paper Thin HDTV antenna and had less than satisfactory results. The difference in why this one gets five stars...its amplified.

For anyone looking into switching I cannot recommend enough, get the amplified version. I'm still in my testing phase, so right now my antenna lives resting in my window, where it catches all the major networks I wanted. Depending on your TV placement you could have to place this unit without a direct view to the outside, but even when I tried that most stations still came in clearly. My long term plan for this is actually to mount it in the attic and split the signal among several TV's. I tested this briefly and event with signal reduction of using a splitter, I had four TV's running at once with no problems.

Features:

1. Approximately 13.5" x 10" x 1/2"
2. 10' flexible coax cable
3. 2 prong power cord plugs in close to where you connect the coax cable to your TV
4. Powered antenna pulls in all the major networks

5Be Careful before You adhere it! - UPDATE BELOW
By Mr. SmokeyJoe
SEE UPDATE BELOW!
I finally got this 1Byone 13" amplified antenna after a shipping mistake and couldn't wait to try it out. I was currently using a Radio Shack amplified antenna but had a lot of problems with getting a clear picture most of the time. I live about 25 miles from Chicago and our Chicago CBS station is one of the last 3 to upgrade in the country so reception was non existent for my home.
I followed the instructions, which are clear to follow and had this 1Byone installed in no time. I put it in a corner window pointing to Chicago and ran the channel search, what a SURPRISE - 52 channels, even CBS as clear as could be!

With the old antenna I was able to get only about 38 channels so what more can I say other than I am impressed with the 1Byone amplified antenna!

Now for the bad: when I first did the search and everything was great, I had the antenna just leaning on the window supported by the double hung bar. After being so excited about all the channels and how clear they where I affixed the 1Byone antenna to the window with the double sided tape pads they include (3) within inches of the scan. Bad part starts now - after sticking it to the window my reception is not that great anymore. Most problems are with the UHF stations that should be the strongest signals, which are all except CBS which still always comes in clear - go figure. I have tried to get the antenna off the window every possible way without breaking it but the tape won't budge.

So best advice I can give is YES this antenna works GREAT, just be careful before you make it a permanent placement.

UPDATE: So after owning this antenna for about 9 months it has given out. I now can no longer get all the channels I could in the beginning and those I can still get, about 12, are always breaking up and impossible to watch. The amplifier still shows a red light on, which means it is suppose to be working but doesn't seem to be any longer.
Now comes the GREAT part! I contacted 1byone to let them know that the antenna was no longer working. They say this has a 1 year warranty so I wanted to see if they would stand behind it. They had me try 2 different methods to see if it would work but it didn't help. After no luck getting it working 1byone has sent me a brand new antenna no charge to replace the defective one! I noticed that it is now somewhat different at the amplifier so maybe this will make a difference. In any case, 1ByOne stands by their products and I would recommend them to anyone I know.

5Worked for me
By Shawn R. Castaneda
No one watches TV in my house so I started wondering why am I paying so much for crappy non HD cable so after reading reviews I ordered it. Package arrived I took it out of box taped it to window near my TV i wanted to use it on, I then hooked it up to my TV set my TV too Antenna and did a channel search I am not sure how long channel search took but when I came back it had found 12 HD digital channels. I started to flip through channels I got all local channels in plus some odd stations I had no idea you could get one of them was a old movie channel. For me all channels but one had crisp clear HD quality only one that didn't was a local weather channel/positive music station. I will be buying another soon for my second TV and canceling my cable saving me a $100 a month.
