This is my second phone mount I've tried since getting my iPhone 6. This mount is far and away better than the first. Why? The air vent mounting system is very well designed. I'm not a fan of suction cups mounts for a large phone - eventually it will come off, usually while driving. I also like it closer to me, and not up on the windshield. In the past I've used the sticky mount on a flat surface. My current vehicle doesn't have a flat/smooth surface, so I had to resort to a mount like this.
The mount doesn't obstruct the top or bottom of the phone, in the event you need to plug in the headphones or power. The mount grips the phones on the sides, with a foamy non-slip surface. It doesn't move around at all.
Mounting anything in front of an air vent will obstruct air flow to some degree. It's not a big deal, the air will come out either way.
Although I'm not a fan of the suction mounts, this one works pretty well. In the short time I had it up there (I just don't like it positioned in the windshield), it didn't move or fall off. If you have a clean surface on both the suction and glass/surface, you should get some time out of it before it fails.
The way this grips the air vent slats is ingenious. It mounts in a second and isn't coming off unless you want it to. The two legs on the bottom keep it from sagging.
A few other reviewers complained about assembly. Yes, there is a quick assembly required, due to the fact that you have two mounts to choose from. I didn't think it was difficult, but it may require you glance at the instructions or the picture.
Overall this is a great mount with the best air vent mount I've ever seen. I'm considering the purchase of a second unit for my second vehicle.

I have the iPhone 6 plus (same size as a Galaxy Note) and as much as I love my new phone it is so big it doesn't fit into the cupholder of my car where I previously kept my phone. I use my Pandora religiously so I was having a hard time streaming from my Bluetooth when I couldn't have my phone close by. This product solved all my problems!!!
PROS:
I have a 2013 Ford Edge and my husband has a 2011 F-150 and I use the vent clip on my drivers side vent by the door in both vehicles with zero issues. The clip is metal and works so nice when you have to run the heat because I have no fear the pieces will melt.
With the iPhone you can text hands free. So with my phone so handy and close with this mount I can easily text by speaking. Totally didn't think about this feature when I purchased but I'm happy I realized this! I do not text and drive but this is as easy as tapping a button and speaking since my phone is so conveniently next to me.
I use my phone gps more than my Garmin so I love the suction cup for this part. I can place my phone in the middle of my windshield just like I would my Garmin and it's perfect. I never had an issue with using the phone jack or charger like other people mentioned.
I read some other reviews saying it was difficult to assemble. First of all, no it's not. Second of all, this seller is so accommodating they email you thanking you for your purchase AND send you a how to video for use. Awesome customer service! I also have a case on my phone and have no problems keeping this in the mount AND I travel on some not so great county roads.
All in all I am extremely pleased with this product and price. So much so I'm getting one for my mom and husband for Christmas!
