Excellent Cable - DOES NOT WORK WITH LIFEPROOF case for iPhone 6 PlusBy Robert Kafka
Excellent, solid built cable with compact head. Unfortunately this does NOT fit into a Lifeproof case for an iPhone 6 Plus. I fault that case more than the cable. The tolerance on that particular case is WAY too tight. It barely fits the OEM Apple cable. I call this out in the review because the advertisement here on Amazon shows this product being used with a lifeproof case.

Identical (for all practical purposes) to Apple version for 1/3 the price.By Scooter
This cable is nearly identical to the ones Apple ships with their iDevices. The plastic around the USB and Lightning connectors is a little larger on the AmazonBasics version (as you can see in my photo). And as shown in the picture, there is an AmazonBasics logo on the Lightning end. The AmazonBasics model is about 3 1/2" shorter than the Apple version.
Most importantly, this cable is about 1/3 the price of the Apple original. If you need an extra cable or two, why not get this? I have many AmazonBasics products, and I've never been disappointed.

Charge end melted without being connected to a deviceBy Emily
2 stars because it worked until it started burning and melting without being connected to any device! Owned this for a week and used it twice. Husband was luckily in the room when he noticed an electrical burning smell and checked this cord to find that the charging end was melted! Just be careful when you leave this plugged into an outlet. Good thing no device was connected because it could've been destroyed or better yet, good thing a fire didn't start in our house from this cord!
Review will be updated as I asked for a refund because this was a defected and dangerous cord.
