The magnets finally work!By T. Lofton
I own the lg tone plus, skipped the ultras, and bought the pros. i went through about 9 different pair of blue tooth stereo headphones in search for the right pair. My brother kept telling to get the LG's. I'm glad I finally did! I liked the 730's (tone plus) so much that i wanted a second pair only in white..when i saw the Pro's were out, i decided to give them a try. The only little irritating thing about the 730's was that the magnets are not strong enough; any shift in your collar would cause the buds to separate, then i have to feel around for the earbud when my phone rings. However, i do notice a difference in sound quality between the two. the 730's have a more grounded, solid sound than the 750's (Pro's). i don't know how noticeable that would be to others since i have a sensitive ear to audio (musician, sound engineer). But it's nice that LG seems to be moving in the right direction concerning the magnets.
There are four major pluses:
1. not having to keep a bud in your ear at all times...it vibrates, you put the bud in your ear and answer
2. so light weight, you forget you're wearing it.
3. can't lose something that's hanging around your neck!
4. ....and because they hang around your neck, they are virtually unbreakable

I have problem with LG Tone HBS-750 Bluetooth headset. There is no problem pairing or connecting. The problem is; when talking on Samsung Galaxy S5 via LG Tone Bluetooth headset at some random point in the conversation the microphone stops, but the earbuds are still working. I can hear, but I can't be heard. I can take the phone off headset selection, and then put it back on headset selection, and that makes it work, again, for a short while, then it happens, again. I lost the mic 5x in a 30 minute conversation. It is an intermittent problem. A Verizon tech did a factory reset on my phone when I took the first one back. I have also done a soft reset, and LG tech had me do a reboot on the headset. The problem persists. I have been in touch with LG and Verizon. The general consensus is there is a glitch in the headset software, but LG says it is not their problem. If it were not for this problem I would be absolutely thrilled with the LG Tone HBS-750 Blue tooth headset.
Further research on Google shows that I am not the only one having this issue. But there also seems to be a solution, albeit not a great solution, but one none the less. This issue of the mic going to mute can be stopped by turning off the wifi on the phone. Unfortunately, I use wifi at home, and this is be a huge inconvenience, but it works. One solution that seems to work is to turn off WIFI when using the phone. It is a real inconvenience, but if you want to continue this headset like me, you start remembering to turn wifi off.
The most frustrating part of this is that I have contacted LG both via phone and chat, and both times they claim complete ignorance of the problem. I have even directed them to the forums where the issue is being debated/complained about. They, LG, simply do the ostrich dance, sticking their heads in the sand and saying it doesn't exist. A couple of customers actually put comments on the LG forum and LG took them down stating "your review did not meet our guidelines for posting on our site." I guess that means that LG only accepts positive reviews.
Don't get me wrong, this is a wonderful headset. The best I have ever owned. WHEN IT WORKS!!! But it is very frustrating to be talking on the phone and have your mic go mute all of a sudden. Or having to turn off wifi so that you can talk without being cut off.
If you do buy the LG TONE HBS750, just be aware of the issue and the fact that LG is not going to acknowledge that there is an issue.

I have the HBS-700 and HBS-730. I bough the HBS-750 because of the button layout. I see a lot of complaints about the HBS-750 button location, but as someone that play golf with this thing around my neck, I have to tell you this is a way better location for the buttons. (No accidental presses anymore.)
I also don't understand the complaints of low volume - It almost blew my eardrums when I first played a song(OK, not really, but it is pretty loud). Maybe look at the equilizer settings?(hold in both volume down and volume up while playing a song)
The headset has great tone range and good bass. Love listening to my music while working and I can do it all day long as the battery lasts around 10 hours and my ears don't hurt after an hour like with a lot of other headsets.
I also spend a lot of time on conference calls and the ability to mute from the headset is awesome. (Hold in both volume up and volume down until a beep is heard - wish there was an indicator for when you are on mute...)
Now for my only complaint: As with the HBS-730, the bluetooth range is reduced compared to the HBS-700. I cannot get to the 33 foot (10 meter) distance. Maybe too much interference from other sources. Having said this, the headset works very well when in my pocket where it is most of the time anyway so I did not take away a star.
BTW, the headset is paired with my 3 year old iPhone 4S.
I can highly recommed this headset.
